The school year

I needed a little structure as we moved into the school year. The last five months have been all about getting to know Lucy and getting adjusted to having a child -- a toddler, no less! She turned two in August.

Several people recommended Before Five in a Row. It arrived on Thursday and I just finished making my plan for the week. Next week, we will "row" Ask Mr Bear. I immediately found three of the suggested books at the library, so we're starting there!

Some of the activities I've found are too old, but I figure we can use this book till she's four if it works for us. So, I've started a binder to track what we do and I'll try to prepare the weekend before so I can do my actual day job during naptimes.

The other exciting plan we have is a homeschool co-op! It meets every Tuesday and rotates homes. Each mom brings a snack and a learning activity based on a certain theme each week. I'm so excited for Lucy to have some socialization as she LOVES being around other kids. Fun fun!
