Stu and I spent the first few weeks of the New Year with our bathroom counter looking like this:
It was not so fun and it dampered the newness of 2011 for me!! Some sort of combination of the flu and then colds that settled in our chests and got infected. Yuck! We didn't exactly jump into the year with a fresh start. SO -- this week has been the start of my new year. On Monday I started flylady again. It seems much easier to do now that I work from home -- I can take a break and throw in a load of laundry or do the daily mission. It has been encouraging.
On top of that, we started working out again. We joined Planet Fitness for just $10 a month. We've been twice this week -- our goal is 3 times per week, so we're almost there!
I'm famous for starting things and peaking out a week later, so we'll see how long this lasts.
We're also on a roll with our devotion time. In preparation for Lucy's arrival, we've started to memorize the verses in the Grace and Truth memory book for ages 2-3. We figure we should know them before we expect her to try to memorize them! So, we're praying the Lord will help us learn these various disciplines. We hope we can model them for our children someday!
Well, I don't know how YOUR New Year started out -- but Happy Happy New Year!

Who says that the fresh start must begin January 1??? I'm glad you are feeling better and ready to begin 2011! :)
I've been decluttering under my bathroom sinks during this week of flylady and it feels so good! Plus, I'm putting together 2 baskets with some paper towels, windex and toliet cleaner and putting under each sink. That way, we can swish and swipe our bathroom and I'm coming up with charts for the kids to take turns cleaning theirs each night after showers!
